13.6 Future Development
The PulseWaveSolver is a useful tool for computational modelling of one-dimensional blood
flow in the human body. However, there are several ideas for future development which
include:
- Inclusion of a pre-processor and post-processor.
- Profiling the code to improve performance.
- Cleaning up the input file to make the input format more user-friendly.
- Modelling of valves and alternative pressure-area laws for models of venous flow.
- Incorporating a model of the heart.
